TOM CLANCY'S RAINBOW SIX 3: RAVEN SHIELD & ATHENA SWORD SERVER SET-UP
To be able to run Raven Shield and Athena Sword Stand alone servers at the same time from the same computers, you need to follow these steps carefully.
If you do not have a full version Stand Alone Server on your computer, you need to download it at the following link:
Once you have the full version of the Stand Alone server, you then need to update it to version 1.54 using the 1.54 SA Server Update file.
For the Stand Alone Server for Athena Sword, you need to update the Raven Shield Stand Alone Server to 1.54 using the 1.54 SA Server Update file,
and you also need to update it using the Athena Sword Stand Alone Update 1.00 file. This will enable you to run Raven Shield or Athena Sword Stand
alone servers from the same SA package.
HOW TO START AN ATHENA SWORD SERVER FROM THE STAND ALONE SERVER PACKAGE
Open the windows command prompt.
Find the Stand Alone system's folder.
Type in the following command line: ucc server -mod=AthenaSword
*This will use the default server settings that can be found in the
You can also use the following command:
ucc server -mod=AthenaSword -servercfg=[Insert your server file name here]
The default location for ini files is the Raven Shield's system folder
e.g. ucc server -mod=AthenaSword -servercfg=MyAthenaSwordCfg.ini
will load MyAthenaSwordCfg.ini from the Raven Shield's system folder.
ucc server -mod=AthenaSword -servercfg=..\Mods\AthenaSword\System\MyAthenaSwordCfg.ini
will load MyAthenaSwordCfg.ini from the Athena Sword's system folder.
HOW TO RUN MULTIPLE ATHENA SWORD SERVERS FROM THE SAME COMPUTER
First off, you need to create as many ravenshield.ini files as you need servers. e.g.: ravenshield1.ini... ravenshield2.ini... ravenshield3.ini... ,etc...
Then you need to create separate server.ini files for your Athena Sword servers.
e.g.: AthenaSwordserver1.ini... AthenaSwordserver2.ini... AthenaSwordserver3.ini... ,etc...
*These files should stay in the Athena Sword's system folder.
To start your Athena Sword servers, you just need to use the following command line:
For the first server:
ucc server -mod=athenasword -ini=RavenShield1.ini -servercfg=..\Mods\AthenaSword\System\ServerAthenaSword1.ini
For the second server:
ucc server -mod=athenasword -ini=RavenShield2.ini -servercfg=..\Mods\AthenaSword\System\ServerAthenaSword2.ini
And so on, and so forth...
RUNNING ATHENA SWORD SERVERS AND RAVEN SHIELD SERVERS FROM THE SAME COMPUTER AT THE SAME TIME
It is possible to run multiple servers of Athena Sword and Raven Shield (with or without Punkbuster)
at the same time from the same computer following these steps.
First off, make sure that you have the 1.54 SA Server Update, the Athena Sword Stand Alone Update 1.00 and Punkbuster
for Stand Alone Servers.
In the root SA folder, you need to create as many folders as Servers you will want running (Raven Shield and Athena Sword).
The reason for this is to be able to have Punkbuster enabled, or at least give it the possibility of being enabled on all servers.
Name each folder to a different name.
Example: PB1 and PB2
Now, in the Raven Shield system's folder, you need to create as many ravenshield.ini files as the number of servers you want running.
Example: ravenshield.ini and ravenshieldAS.ini
In each .ini file that you created, you need to find the following Header: [Engine.User] Once found, add the
following line to it: fs_homepath=..\[name of folder you created in the system's folder]
Example for ravenshield.ini file
Example for ravenshieldAS.ini file
Once this is done, you can start your servers using the known command lines in the command prompt.
Example for the Raven Shield server:
ucc server -ini=RavenShield1.ini -servercfg=ServerRavenShield.ini
Example for the Athena Sword server:
ucc server -mod=athenasword -ini=RavenShield3.ini
You should now have a Raven Shield Server and an Athena Sword Server running at the same time on your computer. Both are also Punkbuster Ready,
which means you can enable PB from the console once in the server.
